  ALBANY OBEDIENCE CLUB

Albany Obedience Club was established in 1955.  Its original focus was training and trialling in competitive Obedience.  Today, club members trial their dogs in many different performance sports, and we regularly offer classes in Agility, Obedience, Rally and Scent Work. 


Looking to have a well-behaved pet, or want an opportunity just to have fun with your dog?  We also offer classes in multiple levels of CGC, obedience, tricks and more!  


Our instructors are club members who volunteer their time to pass on their knowledge, experience and love of dogs.


Classes are open to non-members on a space available basis.

  • Show and Go-Sat Feb14

    We're holding an Obedience Show and Go on Feb 14 from 11:30-4:30.  Registration will be at the door, $10/2 runs-same dog.  We'll have two rings, and have Novice, Open, Utility and Beginner Novice (and anything in between).  See Show and Go page for details.

  • Agility Run thrus - Green Dog Run Thru

    The Next Agility Run thru is February 15, 2026.  This will be Green Dog and Focused Practice Run Thrus

    2 Sessions:

    Session 1- Standard course with low contacts

    Session 2 - Standard course with AKC height contacts

    Schedule

    8:30-9:30 am- Course set up   Volunteers needed

    9:30 am- briefing, walk thru for session 1

    9:45-10 am- First dog on line 

    11:45 - First session ends

    12:00 -12:15 - Walk through, briefing for session 2

                           Change contact height

    12:15 First dog on line for second run through 

    1:45 - second session ends

    1:45 - Course take down   Volunteers needed

    We are holding 2 SW trials on Saturday, Feb 21, 2026.  Classes offered are Novice, Advanced, Excellent, Master Buried, and Novice, Advanced, Excellent Handler Discrimination.   You can see the premium here.
