Obedience Show and Go/Trial Practice April 5, 8AM-2PM

We'll be offering two chances to practice your routine under the same conditions as our May 17-18 trial.  The first will be on April 5 and the second on either May 3.  We will have a single ring each time, and run classes from Beginner Novice through Utility in sequence.

Come in April and check out our new floor.  Come  in May and go through your routine one more time.

All are welcome-you don't have to be planning to trial.

Register here for April 5.   Registration will close at noon, April 2.

Registration details

    • Online only (no day of event entries), pay at the door.
    • $7 first run, $5 each additional class/run, same dog

Schedule

    • Check in starts at 7:45AM.  You'll be able to check in (and pay) until about a half hour before your class.
    • First dog at 8:30
    • Class order is Beginner Novice,  Novice,  Open, Utility.
    • You'll receive a run order a couple of days before the practice day.

Crating

If you're lucky enough to have a quiet, peaceable dog, you're welcome to crate inside the training room, where the ring will be.  All crates and chairs  in the training room must be placed on water proof mats.  Chairs with legs must be dressed with tennis balls (we have some you can borrow).

If your dog is a little rowdy, you'll be able to crate in the kitchen, outside or, of course, in your car.

In the Ring

Treats and toys are allowed!

There will be a judge, unless you don't want one.

You can choose to work on individual exercises, or go through a whole routine.

The amount of Ring time will depend on how many people sign up.

Scheduling of extra runs (for the same class) will depend on how many people sign up.

We will have stays for Novice.

Volunteer Opportunities

No experience required!  All on-the-job training  will be provided free of charge.

We'll need volunteers:

    • for check in
    • for hospitality
    • to act as ring/table stewards

If you can help out, please contact Kate Harding at kath_58@yahoo.com.
