Albany Obedience Club is located on 5 acres in Glenmont, NY. We purchased the property from long-time member Doris Weisheit in 1989, and held our first outdoor obedience trial on the property in 1991. In 2002, we erected a 120' x 60' building, and held our first indoor obedience trial there in May, 2004.

Indoor classes are usually held in the large training room, and occasionally in the smaller meeting room. Outside, we have room for two agility rings, a shaded picnic area and more!

Albany Obedience Club is a New York State registered 501(c) educational corporation (not-for-profit).

Our Mission

To promote the advancement of all dogs, and to protect the welfare of any and all dogs.
To protect and advance the interests of dog training by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at all events.
To foster and encourage responsible dog ownership.
To hold and support performance events under the rules of the American Kennel Club and other recognized Dog Clubs, Organizations and Associations at such places as may be so authorized.
To provide Community Service through education and outreach.
