Registration

  • The registration code is "Junior" (without the quotes).
  • Choose this category if you are a Conditional member who has taken fewer than two classes at AOC at full member price.
  • Choose this level if you are a conditional member who has taken at least two classes at AOC at full price, either as a Conditional Member or within the two years before your Conditional Member start date.
  • The registration code is "First In" (without the quotes).

    You will also need to upload a photo/copy of your first in pass.

    Remember, you can register only one dog in one class for each first in pass you hold.

    one dog/one class for each class you teach
  • Late Registration for Members, AOC Juniors, and for Conditional Members who have taken two classes at the non-Member Rate.

Class Starts March 25th


Criteria: This course will introduce basic handling skills in preparation for competition agility. It is designed for dogs who have completed a Foundations Agility Course and are safe on obstacles (with guidance). 


Content: Building the dog and handler’s confidence and learning to communicate as a team will be integrated in all lessons. Short sequences (3 obstacles) will be introduced, progressing to practice novice agility courses as teams gain proficiency in skills.

The following skills will be gradually introduced/ reinforced over the six weeks:

Front crosses

Rear crosses

Blind crosses

Building and maintaining a start line stay

Safe execution of obstacles (teeter, dog walk, A Frame) using a running contact or 2 on, 2 off method (handler’s choice).

Weaves, using 2x2s and progressing to independent entry and completion of 6 weaves

Running sequences and a novice level course
